The Egyptian fish production sector is considereed one of the most important agricultural economic sectors. As it is highly efficient and contributes to meeting a large portion of the protein of human needs.Fish production represents one of the main components of agricultural production, as the fisheries sector contributes About 67.5 million EGP represents about 9.1% of the total value from national agricultural production reached 740.4 million EGP. The central Delta region which includes Kafr El Sheikh, Gharbia , Qalioubiya, and Menoufia governorates an important areas of fish production in Egypt, where it amounted average About 641.03 thousand tons represent about 31.89% of total fish production in Egypt.
